NI 2 : Suggested compositions for Module 8

This year, you will take the Certificate Exam for Intermediate level in June. In order to prepare yourselves adecuately, you should practise the four skills throughout the whole year: Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking.

MODULE 8: Plan ahead!

You should prepare these lessons before coming to school. I include a recommended composition for each of them, which you should bring to class on that day:

Lesson 1: CONSUMERISM:
(Writing: A formal letter: "A letter of complaint")

Lesson 2: EARTH MATTERS:
(Writing: Article: "The environment is at stake!" )

Lesson 3: MANY PEOPLE, MANY BACKGROUNDS:
(Writing: " Advantages and disadvantages of migrating to another country")

Lesson 4: WE CAME TO AMERICA:
(Writing: "What do you know about America and its people?" )

Lesson 5: THE GREAT DIVIDE:
(Writing: Article of opinion: "To what extent is money important in life?")

Lesson 6: WHAT DO THE BRITISH READ?
(Writing: Review: "My favourite book" Include plot, characters, your opinion, ...)

Lesson 7: POLITICAL CORRECTNESS
(Writing: "What would I try to do for the world welfare if I were a politician?")
